Sea Training Sussex provides a range of powerboat, shorebased and online training courses. From the beginner who just wants help to enjoy their first time afloat, to the more experienced boater looking for additional training.

Based at Sovereign Harbour, Eastbourne Marina, Sea Training Sussex is an RYA powerboat training school dedicated to providing the highest possible standard of RYA tuition at competitive prices. Popular courses include RYA Powerboat Level 1 & RYA Powerboat Level 2, VHF Marine Radio, ICC (International Certificate of Competence), CEVNI, RYA Diesel Engine Course and the RYA First Aid at Sea Course. Bespoke training courses and taster days are also popular.

Here at Sea Training Sussex, we strive to provide our clients with the best possible tuition using only RYA qualified instructors in an encouraging, safe, fun environment. Power boat courses are run throughout the year. Contact us for availability. We also offer courses in your own boat. Talk to us so we can arrange this for you.

Sea Training Sussex offers a range of Powerboat and Shorebased courses throughout the year. Please see below for an up-to-date list of all current course dates. If you have a specific date in mind that isn’t shown, then please get in touch with us and we will do our best to accommodate you.

All of our courses can be paid for by credit/debit card or BACS (bank transfer). If paying by BACS, please be aware that we require payment within 24 hours of booking, otherwise the booking may be cancelled.

3:1 Instructor Ratio

With your progression as our priority, and to comply with the RYA, we impose a maximum of 3 students for every course held on board one of our boats.

Official RYA School

We are a part of the RYA, meaning we are full accredited by them so you know you are getting the best service.

Online Courses Available

As well as practical powerboat courses, we also offer a full range of online and shorebased training courses.

All of our training boats have undergone a stringent safety check and we only use the most modern equipment on board.
